On Thanksgiving day (11/23/17) at 1824 hours, 21 volunteers gave up their night when station 36 along with 25(Longwood), 24(Kennett), 23(Avondale), RIT 53(Fame of WC) were alerted to the 400 block of Dean Drive in East Marlborough for a reported house fire. Within a few minutes of the dispatch, Engine 36 went en-route when they were notified of multiple calls. Minutes later Micu25 arrives with smoke in the area and then advises fire-board that there is fire showing side alpha. With that, engine 36 layed in from the plug and finished by a 24 engine, securing a water source. Upon arrival of engine 36, Assistant 36 took command and lines were pulled to start a transitional attack. Command then asked for 2nd alarm for manpower. Crews operated on scene into the early morning before clearing. Thanks to Christiana (Lanco) Tanker 5-2 for covering our local while we operated at the fire.
