| At 1718hrs Station 36 , 23 Ambulance (Avondale), 37 Ambulance (Modena), and Medic 94 were dispatched to Hood rd and Route 841 for an accident with entrapment.
Rescue 36 with 4, Chief 36 and 36-30 all made the response and Chester County dispatch reported one patient confined by the drivers door.
Traffic 23 was dispatched to assist with shutting down route 841.
FM101 was passing the scene and reported that Hurst tools would need to be utilized to free the drivers legs from the door.
Upon arrival, crews from Rescue 36 "popped" the door with the Jaws of Life (hurst tool) and were able to assist EMS with extrication onto a backboard.
Both drivers of the vehicles were transported to local hospitals. |
