On Saturday 11/25/17, members took place in a joint training with Longwood Fire Company. Members started the day off with "Hot Runs," which are crews acting as if it were a real call. Crews Simulated multiple evolution's of a simulated fire on the first floor and in the basement. Then Crews separated into groups practicing a variety of structural firefighting skills. One station reviewed was horizontal ventilation along with VEIS (Vent, Enter, Isolate, Search). Another station reviewed was wall breaching. To conclude the day, both companies took to the roof to review basic truck company practices. Members reviewed different types of building construction and what it can tell you, along with basic cuts and ventilation techniques. Members had a great time and learned a lot. Thank you Longwood Fire Company for setting up this training opportunity.
