**THIS WAS A TRAINING**
On Thursday (January 24th) Rescue 36 traveled out to the Chester County Public Safety Training Campus to participate in a rescue demo. In conjunction with Octorara’s Homeland Security and Protective Services Academy, Twin Valley Fire Department and Student film makers from Octorara High School; the group conducted filming of a vehicle rescue in order to produce a PSA on distracted driving. The students are making this film to raise awareness of the issue that has plagued this country, along with entering the video into a national competition that, if they win, would be nationally broadcasted. Crews took this opportunity to train and familiarize themselves with vehicle rescue techniques and tactics.

If any of this interests you in becoming a volunteer firefighter, go to our How To Volunteer tab and fill out the application and bring it to the station on a Monday night between 7-10. Anyone interested could also stop by the station and get an application or just come take a look around.

As always, stay safe.
