| Why did you join the fire department? |
The fire company needed volunteers and other non-operations support. It is a great way to give back to the community. I also liked the finality of the work. A fire call starts and ends and everyone has a job/role in successfully resolving each incident. In my professional career I work long term contracts that can sometimes take years to complete so it is great to be part of a tight team working on efforts that show immediate results. |

Golf, sailing and motorsports |

| What do you like best about being part of the fire department? |
I have learned a great deal since joining the department. It still amazes me the amount of time and dedication put in by PoMarLin and the other fire companies 365 24/7. The training classes are humbling as the depth of knowledge of the people that provide instruction is incredible. |
